Bitcoin (XBT) is on a week long commanding stance at a market rate of over over $400 USD due to steady market rate increase and record volumes.
It hit $400 for only the fourth time in 2015 on December 7th and hasn't looked back spiking as high as $473 in recent days.
At 11:45am PST, the time of this writing, bitcoin was at $444.93
