Update II (8:15 PST): Paxful returns and is back online.

Update: Paxful has replaced the Cloudflare message with a message from the company.

Paxful Message Added 1 Hours into Downtime

Peer-to-peer trading platform Paxful has been down for the past hour investigating an issue with their service provider. The details of the issue were not discussed but the move was to ensure the safety and security of the platform. Visitors will see the infamous Cloudflare screen for the duration of the outage.

Artur Schaback, CTO and Co-founder of Paxful told dinbits.com that they expect to be back online soon and have been investigating the issue for about an hour. He stated that all customer funds are"safe and secured by BitGo."

BitGo is a secure wallet provider used by many major exchanges and service platforms and considered the best-in-class in this space.

Platform Availability

For all we know someone might have just tripped over a power cord but after Shapeshift was hacked a week ago and with Bitquick having being down weeks now, everyone is on high alert and there is no such thing as being too safe.

Paxful has been on a streak in the performance category. The platform went from the 2nd highest rate of performance issues in February (just behind Localbitcoins) to #12 in March making it the most improved platform in availability last month.

Expect Paxful's return in about an hour or two with everything right where it was left.
