The Japanese version of BitPay, Coincheck, launched a bitcoin exchange for smaller trades. The firm is promising fast BTC-JPY transactions and has waived fees for the rest of 2014.
Given the implosion of Mt. Gox earlier this year, several exchanges have opened up in effort to fill the shoes, included BitFlyer.
If you're in Japan, perhaps give these guys a try, but be careful since you never know who's actually involved.
