I'm still speechless from the Mike Tyson ATM machine so it appears as if I won't be able to utter a word anytime soon since a new "Mike Tyson Bitcoin" app has surfaced.

Uh ... yes. This is happening.

Mike Tyson. Bitcoin. iPhone App. You are reading correctly.

I couldn't have even made this up if I tried to conjure up its existence on a top 10 list of stupid things to grace iTunes as an iPhone application.

"Bitcoin Direct is pleased to partner with Mike Tyson because Tyson is a universally known star whose fan base extends generations. People around the world of all ages know Mike Tyson, and as such Tyson's potential to expand the Bitcoin market is dramatic," said Peter Klamka, CEO of Bitcoin Direct. "The Mike Tyson Digital Wallet offers beginners a simple and secure way to get started with bitcoin. Users can create wallets for sharing funds with friends, store multiple personal wallets in the same app, accept payments from friends, or pay bitcoin-accepting businesses online or in person."

The app allows you to buy and sell bitcoins on an iPhone like a dozen others like it, the kicker here is that it comes with Mike Tyson's tattooed face on it.

Oh boy, where do I sign up?

It actually a app called Copay with a skin on it (of Mike Tyson) and partners with Bitpay for services.

Good Choice?

One question is if Mike Tyson is the right spokesperson for a financial app or financial anything considering he's known for financial blunders having been Tyson has been through bankruptcy, poor spending (over-spending), divorce, and a burden of tax issues.

This makes you wonder what Bitcoin Direct was thinking when they made this choice.
